Pasta with creamy crushed walnut sauce

This is the best I have cooked with the least effort last month. Most of my lazy meals never reach the site, but these pastas are an exception. If you have a favorite dried pasta, a few cloves of garlic, nuts and black pepper can also make it. The other ingredients – lemon zest, a little grated cheese, crumbs of crumbs and herbs are encouraged, but not necessarily. It's the kind of meal that the box checks when you're in the mood for creamy pasta, but no cream is required. Take rich, walnuts, garlic sauce from garlic and baked walnuts in a paste and dilute with a good amount of salted pasta water. Maximum food.

What kind of pasta to use?

I vote here for pasta, preferably something whole grain and somewhat rustic. The pasta you see is emmer reginetti. I grabbed it with whim the first time I cooked it and it worked beautifully for this recipe. The way in which ruffles catch just the right amount of creamy walnut is a matter of beauty. However, play with different pasta and experiment with shapes you like. Fusilli can be wonderful, or even small shells.

Variations:

Experiment with other nuts: Maybe you can make a nice alternative to walnut sauce with toasted almonds or toasted pecans. Or a mixture of nuts at your disposal. I've made 100% nuts, but I suspect using other nuts would be great. The key is good spices – salt, pepper and a little lemon juice. Take your time to get this place right.

Add a little green! Put a bunch of broccoli florets or asparagus in the pasta pot at the last minute to add a vegetable ingredient to it without soiling another pot. We were both yikes or you will have seen one of them appear here.

Leftovers! Make a quick stew of pasta and beans if you have leftovers. Combine walnut pasta with some white beans in a saucepan. Add good broth, heat, season and add a little grated cheese to combine. A handful of finely chopped cabbage would not be undesirable.

More pasta!

If you need more inspiration than pasta, try this pasta with Etruscan sauce or my favorite tomato sauce (for pasta & pizzas), tomato soup with tomato or pasta with Smashed zucchini cream (in summer). A fun project creates a homemade gnocchi, but if that's more or less ambitious, try this last minute Lasagna recipe, Orzo Super salad or family-filled shells.
