Here are what women often want when they start working with us and some ways you can get started now.

Wish # 1:
"Help me have a better relationship with food."

At some point in their lives, many women struggle with overeating and emotional food. We love our wine, chocolate, sugar or anything else that enjoys the "I deserve it" or "I-need-a-freaking-break" … but we do not always like it.

Once the "loody food" is over, we leave the same stress and the problems we have started – and now we feel guilty, shameful and perhaps even out of control.

The circle often resembles this.

  • Feel anxious, anxious, upset,
  • Overeat.
  • Feel guilty and embarrassed about overeating.
  • Feel more stressful, restless, upset, etc.
  • I swear to "do better".
  • Fill a new diet and / or create rigid "rules".
  • Feel anxious, anxious, upset,

  • Repeat the cycle.

Solution: Break the chain.

Just observe, observe and record what happened, leading to any desire for food, emotional consumption, over-consumption and / or any other time you feel "out of control" with food and food.

Because here is a secret:

These feelings and behaviors did not come out of nowhere. It is not accidental. Something led to them.

Now you can be a detective and understand all the links in the chain.

To help you implement this exercise, download a printable version of the Break the Chain or think about the exercise below.

1. Start with any recent episode of food or food that bothered you. (For example, eating too much, eating foods you did not want, feeling out of control, etc.).

2. Write down all the things that happened around you just before this episode happened.

For example:

  • Where were you?
  • What did you do?
  • What do they think?
  • What did you feel?
  • Who was with you?

3. Now see if you can go back even further.

Maybe a few hours. One more time:

  • Where were you?
  • What did you do?
  • What do they think?
  • What did you feel?
  • Who was with you?

Try to record as much detail as possible.

4. Now examine your data. Are there any plans?

If you do not see connections directly, do not worry.

Try this exercise a few times and then start looking for links between what happened the days or hours before you have experienced a serious desire for food or an episode of emotional eating.

5. If and when you find patterns, be curious about them.

Do not worry about fixing them immediately. Just notice them.

"Hm, that's interesting. Every time my mom calls me, then I want to hit the chocolate."

"You know, I really feel good for most of the month, but the week before my visit – watch out".

"It was a long, stressful week at work. Give me that wine before I kill someone."

6. You may notice solutions immediately.

"Okay, I'll go for a workout after talking to Mom, to get some of that energy out."

"I will point out the PMS days in the diary so I know in advance."

"I'm going home on Friday to relax."

Or maybe you will not notice solutions. You may feel stuck in step # 5 by observing the patterns but you are not sure how to change.

Either way, it's okay.

The important thing is: Now you know what's going on.

Wish # 2:
"Help me to be consistent with my diet, exercise or healthy lifestyle habits."

If you are like most women, you have probably tried at least some things to get and stay fit.

Here are the most women who tried before they took us with us:

  • Weight Watchers
  • MyFitnessPal and other calorie counters
  • Jenny Craig and Curves
  • Crossfit and other team workouts
  • Popular diets such as Palaeos, filling juices, cleansing and low-carbohydrate
  • Educational books and magazine articles

Of course, these are not "bad" choices. They end up working for some people.

But most people tell us that they have a difficult time to stay consistent. They mean well, and they work hard, but they are struggling to stay on track.

In part, this is because other plans do not take your life into consideration.

They do not offer a meaningful, step by step change that you can actually do in your real life. You know, real life with a job and kids and a move and you go to school and all that. What the real human people have.

And, in part, most other projects do not offer support, care and accountability like training.
