Background: Pottery The cylinder was unearthed in 1978 at the Yangshao Cultural Site of the Neolithic Age in the village of Linzi County, Henan Province. The sand cylinder is clamped. The side of the abdomen is painted with a squid stone axe, painted in red and brown, accounting for about one-third of the cylinder area. There is a ostrich on the left, standing upright, six-toed grasping the ground, two eyes round, with a big fish in the mouth; a stone axe on the right, the axe tied to the upper end of the erected wooden stick. This brush method is dignified, the color is eye-catching, and the image is vivid, reflecting the fishing and hunting life of the original tribes at that time. It is a rare art treasure in the original pottery painting in China.
