I went to the Halloween cocktail hole the other day and (wow!) There are some scary, wild drinks out there. You may come across Glowing Jell-o Shots, or corn corn cocktail, or even an eye punch. There is no shortage of cocktails that you may regret the next day – strange blends of alcohol, too sweet, lots of worms in drinks, etc. So I thought I would do a quick round halloween cocktail visit that was a bit less-y theme, those that still had some ghoul and ghost, but it also looked delicious.
1. Cardinale – (PUNCH)
Red blood and dry bone. Take the recipe here.
2. Blood orange test tubes – (Martha Stewart)
I love the delivery of the test tube here with the labels you can download. Take the recipe here.
3. Jekyll Gin Glowing Cocktail – (Delish)
This twist on a Gin Daisy shines with black light! Gin, grenadine, lemon juice and tonic water. Take the recipe here.
4. Pirate Mary – (Food & Wine)
Yes to this cocktail. There is an intact recipe in the ingredient list, but it is not a big deal (except for the supply of yellow tomato juice) … Take the recipe here.
5. Kombucha Dark & Stormy – (101 cooking books)
These are so delicious. Essentially, a twist on the classic cocktail does with the powerful kombucha ginger in place of the ginger beer. A rush dive, optional lime twist, and you are good. Take the recipe here.
6. Death in the afternoon – (PUNCH)
Two ingredients – absinthe and iced champagne. Take the recipe here.
7. Mother Plate – (Food & Wine)
If you're going to go on your way to your party for your party, it looks messy. Gin, grapefruit juice and champagne. Take the recipe here.
