Tackle sunburn is something we should always look for the day we face our skin badly in the sun.

I've just found a great list of folk remedies for when you really do accidentally sunburn to yourself. I do not know where it came from, but I thought I would pass it with some comments along with these sunburn treatments.

Aloe Vera treatment for sunburn
This is probably the most popular sunburn remedies. Take as many leaves as you need from an aloe plant. refrigerate; peel the top layer of the leaves. apply the side of the leaf with the flesh exposed directly to the sunburn.

Aloe is very effective in relieving pain and inflammation. Other medicines use aloe vera juice: for mild to moderate sunburn, keep the affected area wet with aloe vera juice.

Repeat often. This will reduce the pain and the amount of peeling.

Combine aloe juice with the amount of vitamin E. Relax in sunburn. Vitamin E is a good moisturizer and sunburn. Aloe ointment works well as it contains oil and will not evaporate.

For a severe sunburn, keep the area wet at all times with aloe vera juice. Since aloe vera is astringent, you may want to use aloe vera ointment or some kind of oil like olive oil or baby.

Shower as a treatment against sunburn
Take a hot shower to get the heat of your sunburn. Hot water will increase circulation in the area while moisturizing it, accelerating the healing process. Be sure to hydrate later as the water will dry your skin.

Dissolve some baking soda in the water and compress using a clean cloth. Another solution is to add 1/2 cup of baking soda to a lukewarm bath and enjoy.
